Homemade Chocolate Chickpea Granola

Homemade Chocolate Chickpea Granola 

    

Chocolate chickpeas? Sounds weird? Promise you won’t taste the chickpeas once they’re coated in chocolate and cinnamon. Pimp your yoghurt with this protein-rich, low carb and utterly delicious variation.

All you need:

  • 200g chickpeas
  • Coco powder
  • Cinnamon (more is more)
  • 3-4 tbsp of agave or Yacón Syrup
  • 1 tbsp of coconut sugar
  • 1 tbsp of plant-based omega 3 oil
  • Some yoghurt (my personal preference: Plant-based Blueberry yoghurt)
  • Toppings as you like

How to:

Preheat the oven at 160 degrees. Fill the chickpeas into a bowl and mix with the cocoa powder, the cinnamon, the syrup, the oil and the coconut blossom sugar. Place on tray and put in the oven for around 15-20 min. Let cool and top your yoghurt with them once they are ready! If you want you can also coat them in chocolate couverture  once they’ve cooled out – this gives it an even stronger chocolate taste.
